A little BLUE....

Isn't it funny how a shortened work week can seem like the longest actual week in history? Maybe it's the amount of work to get done in a shorter time, maybe it's the weather, or maybe it is the damn Republican National Convention. I could go on and on about that, but I won't. Instead, I'll impress my liberal politics on my child.

Taylor can't understand why McCain thinks that women would vote for a presidential ( & vice) candidate based on gender, and not on the issues. She is clearly not amused.

She just figured out that we live in Kansas--a RED state. She has thus decided to eat her toes.

OOOOOOOO-bama!

A little of this, a pinch of that...

It occurred to me that I hadn't posted any new pictures for a while; here are a few from the arsenal.

Reading one of our favorite books....and clearly engulfed.

Her O's sound Canadian.

Huck was telling jokes tonight.

Dancing to some music. I think this move is the car wash.

A few weeks ago at Uncle Marshall & Aunt Erin's house. This is their puppy Cosmo. He is 7 times the weight of Taylor.

What the french, toast?

I don't know why blogger was being stubborn and not showing the pictures I tried to post the other day...they show up on my computer at home! So, over my 5 minute lunch break -- the pictures are reposted. You can choose your own captions.

At least it's not Hell....

I was driving home from work today, sweat dripping down the backs of my knees, when I saw this phrase on a church sign: "You think it's hot here, this is nothing compared to HELL". Well, ok. Fair enough. It's hot though, dangit.

This is what happens when you take your baby to the Farmer's Market in this weather that doesn't compare to how hot Hell may be:

But we still love jumping.

And she loves avocado! And Feta Cheese! I'm determined to make sure she's not picky like her father.

Of Mice & Men...

My good friend Lori is having a baby, and her baby shower was Saturday. I thought that we would be so creative and wrap her gifts in 'baby' themed paper. I bought brown wrapping paper, and the plan was to use the finger-paint paints to put Taylor's hand prints and foot prints all over the paper. Cute, right? Well, the best laid plans always go astray. (Photos by Andy)

She was fine until the paint started to dry and her diaper was sticking to the paper.

Would you wrap a gift with this? Our gifts ended up in a gift bag instead.

From The Mind of Taylor....

"Ooh, Dad! Turn down the volume before Mom yells at you again!"

"Hang on, I need to take this...."

"I just found a piece of dog food and am saving it in my cheek for later!"

"I am sooooo not going to sleep tonight."

Too tired to type....

I'm too exhausted today to write anything, so here are a few pictures instead.

She figured out how to go up the stairs. We do not have "Down" figured out yet.

Hangin' out with the coffee table
